Richard L. Butters Obituary
The memory of Richard L. Butters (Ellsworth, Maine), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his daughter Gwen Butters; and his grandson Thomas Powell. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Butters (Pinkham); his children, Scott, Eric Butters and Lallie Truesdale; his adoptive children, Kristyn Butters, Andy, Thalia and Chardonnay Burton-Butters; and his grandchildren, Miranda, Alyssa, Corinne Powell, Michael Butters and Joshua Hart. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ellsworth Elks Lodge (317 High St, Ellsworth, ME 04605).
In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's memory can be made to the Ellsworth Elks #2743 c/o Maine Elks Veterans Assoc. to help the homeless Veterans of Maine.
