He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara LaPlante (Bevis) and Edwin V. LaPlante; and his brother James LaPlante of Brockton. He is survived by: his spouse Magalis LaPlante (Cordero); his children, Edwin P. LaPlante Jr. of Brockton, Shanarra A. LaPlante of Brockton, Jeremy J. LaPlante, Nicholas P. Knight and Melissa M. Aguiar; and his siblings, Roberta Zouski, Roxanna Duquette of Middleboro, Leo Murphy of Witman and Angela Cordero of Brockton. He is also survived by three step children.
