He is survived by: his parents, George E. and Eleanor F. Cate (Boston); his wife Kim Cate (Dinsmore); his children, Jamie Cate, Douglas Cate, Holly Cate, Melynda Cate, Kaleb Cate, Brandon Cate, Jesse Cate, Clayton Cate, Evan Cate and Garrett Cate; and his sisters, Starr McClhinney and Phyllis Hampton.
