It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol A Johnsen of Edgecomb, Maine, born in Staten Island, New York, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Carol had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Carol may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Arnold'Arne'Johnsen; and her parents, Charles Thompson and Anna Hustedt Thompson. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
As of her count in 2009 she had donated over 1700 baby blankets to Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Not only did she donate to the hospital, but she also gave to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
