He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Emery and Marie Emery (Frankland); and his brother Frederick Emery. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Emery (Newman); his daughter Kandi Fortuna (Kevin); his stepchildren, Michael Newman of Norway Maine and Lisa Newell (Ryan); his sister Julie Magoon (Frank); his grandchildren, Taylor Grotjan (Emery), Dustin Newman, Anastasia Sienkowski and Dakota Sienkowski; his great grandchild Joshua; and his close friend Frank Gardner of Edmunds.
