She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Johnson and Margaret Johnson (Peel); her husband Clarence Matthews; her grandson Matthew Neptune; her great grandchild Bobbi Pendleton; her sisters, Jane Schantz, Patricia Rier, Maxine Seeley and Geraldine Scadova; and her stepson Clarence "Chuck" Matthews (Ada).
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Neptune (Sabatis) of Pleasant Point, David Matthews (Lupe) of Laughlin, NV, Michael Matthews (Juanita) of East Machias and George Matthews of Calais; her stepson Richard Matthews (Linda); and her sisters, Ina Lank and Ruth McCarthy. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
