She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Leighton and Ella Leighton (Preble); her husband Ernie Bonsey; and her siblings, Ruth Dauphinee, Barbara Fairbrother, Carol Budden and Milton Leighton.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft, Gayle Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft, Debra Hayes (Scott) of Dover-Foxcroft, Pamela Richardson (Kenneth) of Dover-Foxcroft and Melissa Ware (Douglas) of Dover-Foxcroft; her grandchildren, Tyler Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft, Jerod Hayes (Kathryn) of Berwick, Justin Hayes (Samantha) of Bangor, Michaela Hayes, Maurvin Patel of Bangor, Kate Nichols of Dover-Foxcroft, Jason Richardson of Sangerville and Christopher Ware of Dover-Foxcroft; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Carter and Michael; her stepgrandchildren, Michelle Kearny, Scott of Lewiston and Stephen Ware of Dallas, TX; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caitlin, Austin and Andrew Kearney of Lewiston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
