Bessie A. Ames Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2021, at the age of 90, Bessie A. Ames of Dover Foxcroft, Maine, born in Milo, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Boober and Phyllis Boober (Lowell); her husband Melvin Ames Sr.; her daughter Michelle Zambrano; her sons-in-law, James Robertson, Larry Schultz and Timothy Harvey; and her brothers, Merle Boober, Paul Saunders and Gene Saunders.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Robertson, Rebecca Schultz, Melvin Ames, Jr. (Pamela), Rosie Hews (Chris), Debbie Andrews (Calvin "Bim" Jr.), Russell Ames (Penny) and Laurie Sheppard (Bill); her son-in-law Tony Zambrano; her siblings, Irene Peques (Tom), Sharon Crockett (Neil), Bernard Saunders (Evelyn), Harrison Saunders (Gloria) and Byron Saunders (Crystal); and her siblings-in-law, Donna Saunders, Silas Ames, Sr. and Dennis Ames. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
