Edna M. Ivers Obituary
PHILLIPS - Edna M. Ivers, 84, passed away on June 19, 2016 at the Sandy River Center in Farmington. Edna M. Ivers She was born in Braintree, Mass., on Aug. 26, 1931, the daughter of Oral and Edna (Ellis) Hardy. Edna was educated in the schools of Rangeley and later graduated from the University of Maine in Farmington in 1986.
In her early years, she was employed at Forster Mfg in Strong and at the Balsams Resort in New Hampshire. Later on, she volunteered as a driver for the Western Maine Transportation System. She enjoyed crafts, making quilts, doing crossword puzzles, bird watching, gardening, and being with her family. Edna was related to the all the Hardys in the Phillips area.
She is survived by her sons: Bernard Ivers of Minnesota, Dana Ivers of Dixmont, Walter Ivers of Manchester, N.H., Randall Ivers of Connecticut, Bradford Ivers of Phillips and Connecticut; her daughters: Shiela Nielsen of Reno, Nevada, Laura Nevel of Florida; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughters, Wanda Jacques-Gill and Rowena Stough. At Edna"s request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott"s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.
