He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Poirier and Vitaline Poirier (Johnson); his wives, Leatrice Poirier (Clukey) and Kay Poirier (Shirley Lathrop); his grandson Shane Gilbert; and his siblings, Frank Poirier, Jr., John Poirier, Frederick Poirier, Irene Devoe, Leatrice Poulin and Joan Gagnon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Gilbert (Richard) of Dexter and Vernita Hallee (Ronald) of Middletown, Ohio; his stepdaughter Marilynn Strout (Allen) of Port Orange, Florida; his grandchildren, Michael, Jason Hallee, Chad Gilbert, Kelly and Lindsey Strout; his great grandchildren, Dak Manjarrez, Ford Hallee, Lauren, Ian Hallee, Benjamin and Blake Gilbert; and his siblings, Joseph Louis Poirier, Clara Withee, Teressa Irwin and Esther Tracy.
