He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Ross and Nellie Ross (Tyler) of Red Beach, Maine.; and his brother Norman Ross. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Umbriac (Ross) of Ann Arbor and Hugh Tyler Ross of Berkeley; and his grandchildren, Kristen and John Umbriac of Ann Arbor, Michigan..
