He was predeceased by: his parents, George Farris and Lila Farris (Maker) of Cutler; his wife Ruthie Farris (Ackley); his son Dennis Farris; his granddaughter Ashley Dawn Farris; and his siblings, Priscilla Look (Farris), Isabel Cates (Farris), Gordon and Robert Farris.
He is survived by: his close friend Verlan (Hunky); his friends, Ralph Maker and Joel Eldridge; his children, Deborah VanLieu of Birch Harbor and Laurence Farris (Lo-Lene) of Cutler; his grandchildren, Tammy (Gary Wood) of Machiasport, Michelle (Adam) of Swanville, Timothy (Jessica) of East Machias, Jamie (Larry Abbott) of Hancock, Aaron (Gabriella) of Lehigh Iowa and Kerriann Farris (Tyrus) of Edmunds; his great grandchildren, Nick, Kayla, Timothy, Kyle, Kasey, Jayce, Teeya, Ashley, Nikota, Merrick and Waylynn; and his great great grandchildren, Aubrey, Brantley, Reagan, Grayson and Zander.
