She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Scates and Evelyn Scates of Liberty Maine; and her sister Beverly Parker of Liberty. She is survived by: her siblings, Vernon Scates and Carolyn Haskell; her husband Morris Smith Sr.; her children, Morris Smith, Jr. (Michelle) of Noblesville, Indiana and Lori Kurr (Jesse) of Rockland, Maine; and her grandchildren, Danicka, Beckley, Matt of Colorado Springs, Elisabeth Greeley, Lincoln of Freedom, Maine and David Kurr of Rockland. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
