William Hart Nichols Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Hart Nichols Jr. of Cumberland Foreside, Maine, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on July 25, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, W. Hart Nichols and Ruth Nichols; his wife Janet Martin; his children, William Nichols III of Chicago, IL, Judy Paul of New York, NY and Susan Nichols of Falmouth, ME; his grandchildren, David Nichols (Rebecca Nichols), Scott Nichols (Cam Pentimone), Evan Paul (Chelsea Paul) and Lindsey Paul; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Nichols and Grant Nichols; his sister Nancy Van Metre; his brothers-in-law, Allan Martin and James Van Metre; his son-in-law Karamjeet Paul; his sister Betsy Galvin (Harry); and his sister-in-law Sally Martin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, when the COVID pandemic allows.
Donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Appalachian Mountain Club or the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, MA.
