He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Barnett Sr. and Cecilia Bernadette Barnett (Colberg); his son Eric Barnett; his sister Karen Barnett; and his half-brother Reggie Hartford.

He is survived by: his wife Michele (Lefebvre); his daughter Mariah Jo Barnett (Maurice); his brothers, Michael Barnett (Angela), Peter Barnett (Candy) and William Barnett (Mary); and also David Porter. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that anyone willing carry on his memory by paying it forward to someone in need, as Maurice was always someone to lend a helping hand to anyone, anytime.
