He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy V Estes (Martin); and his son Christopher Mark Estes. He is survived by: his father Gary A. Estes; his wife Lucy Estes (Ridlon); his siblings, Christopher Estes (Cynthia), Jane Miller (Darien) and Beth Towle (Curt); his children, Ashley Guptill (Joel), Amanda Hogan (Brandon Day), Cari Frost (Donald) and Israel Estes (Tatiana Hicks); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Liza, Levi, Oakley, Charlotte and Marlee. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
