He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bucknell and Charmaine Bucknell. He is survived by: his wife Linda Bucknell (Day); his daughters, Tara Bucknell (Scott Flint) and Jessica Bucknell (Ronald Richards); his grandsons, Jason Bucknell, Jacob, Logan and Julian; and his brother Michael Bucknell of Hilo, Hawaii..

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home (71 Maple St, Cornish, ME 04020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New England Cancer Center, 11 Rock Row, Suite 120, Westbrook ME 04092.
