He is survived by: his wife Edith (Allen); his children, Anne Martin, Ellen Martin, Susan Dugay, Jim, Daniel, Joseph, Patrick, John and Bill; and his sisters-in-law, Polly Smith, Lucy Strout, Eleanor Bickmore and Priscilla Allen.
