He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Shores and Florence May German Shores; his siblings, Mabel Colson, Irene Murch, James Jr., Leland, Doug and Lendell; his daughter Terry Shores Harris; and his granddaughter Cheryl Tuttle.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Mae Rowe; his brother Stanley Shores (Esther); his children, Sally Tuttle (Mervin Jr.), George Shores (Ann), Steven Shores, Bonnie Williams (Michael), Darlene Shores Lynch (Scott) and Charlene Shores-Lynn (Ron); his grandchildren, Mervin Tuttle III (Jeanne), Derek Veilleux (Jude), Ronnie Harris, Andrew Harris (Melanie), Keven Shores (April), Jeffrey Williams (Christina), Keenan, Kelsie, Braeden Lynch, Lauryn and Abby Lynn; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Andrew Tuttle, Hailey Williams, Gabriel Estrada, Hayden McLeod, Ashley Shores, Alex and Ellie Mae Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
