With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter McFarland of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on October 7, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Joseph, Sr. and Margaret McFarland (Quinn); his wife Margaret Cardone; his children, Peter J. McFarland III of Standish, Paul G. McFarland of South Portland, Mark E. McFarland (Susan) of Windham, Stephen M. McFarland of Cape Elizabeth, Maureen Hondel (Joseph) of Waterboro and Susan E. Smyth (Jamie) of Windham; his grandchildren, Melissa Couture, Peter J. McFarland, IV, Richard McFarland, Natasha McFarland, Samantha Hondel, Matthew Hondel, Hannah Smyth, Ryan Smyth and Sarah Smyth; and his sisters, Mary Oblinger, Mary Pebrina (Auntie Babe) and Ann Crosby of Virginia. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
