He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margaret Goodhue Wilson (Houghton) and Amory McLellan Houghton, Jr.; his wife Janet S. Houghton; his daughters, Grace A. Houghton (Jack Day) of South Portland, Elisabeth F. Houghton (Biz), Margaret G. Houghton of Northeast Harbor and Christina R. Houghton Brown (Nina) of Portland; his grandchildren, Meagan B. Falls (Lindsay Falls), Christina A. Blank Gretchen (Amy Johnson), Blank, Frances B. Hadlock (Cote Hadlock), Oliver R. Blank, Margaret G. Myers and John H. Myers; his great grandchildren, Mark O. Hadlock and Ophelia G. Falls; his brothers, Amory M. Houghton III (Joan) of Yarmouth and Peter B. Wilson (Gail) of Raymond; his siblings-in-law, Joe and Christina Teale of Scarborough; his uncle John; and his sons-in-law, John L. Myers and Christopher F. Brown. He was also cherished by his daughters and grandchildren.
