She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldora Staples and William Staples; her siblings, Rinda Elwell, Margaret Ciesielski, Richard, Warren and John Staples; her husband Robert Hannigan; and her daughter-in-law Cathy.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Staples of Florida; her brother-in-law Earle Hannigan of East Holden; and her children, Kathy ODonnell (Mark) of South Portland, Julia Hannigan-Trefethen (Keith) of Wells, Susan Thurston (Fuzzy) of Fryeburg, Maine, Michael (Betty) of Abington, Frank (Theresa) of Cape Elizabeth, Stephen of Standish, Daniel of Cape Elizabeth, Robert Jr. (Karen) of South Portland, Peter of Portland and Patrick of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
