He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Josiah Spalding; his wife Sonia of Camden; his children, Curtis Spalding (Jody) of Everett, WA, Anne Spalding of Carona, Switzerland, Andrew Spalding (Casey Misuraca) of Forest Knolls, CA, Barbara Spalding of Camden, ME and Amy Spalding-Fecher (Randall) of Pelham, MA; his grandchildren, Kaila Nicoli Cattani, Manuel Nicoli, Leilani Nicoli Ajetaj, Lucy Spalding, Maya Spalding-Fecher and Grace Spalding-Fecher; his niece Elizabeth Hoxie of Makawao; his nephew Peter Boynton of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.; and his sister Elizabeth Spalding Boynton of Honolulu. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Coastal Mountains Land Trust or Merryspring Nature Center.
