She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Vincent and Mary Lucille Arau (Leadbetter); and her siblings, Basil D. Arau, Leo J. Arau and Beverly McConkey.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Mickey (Scott), Julie Gushee (Joel), Janine Meservey (Cliff), Vincent Jones and Jason Jones; her siblings, Louis Vincent Arau Jr. (Cynthia) and Joan Landwehr; her sister-in-law Candace Arau; her grandchildren, Matthew Shoudy (Amber Wheaton), Ericka Faucher (Sean), Brittany Meservey, Sierra Meservey, McKenzie Meservey (Scott Chapp), Nicholas Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson and Harrison Garcia; her great grandchildren, Maddison Shoudy, Dustin Dodge, Mason Shoudy and Jacob Faucher; and her pet Sky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition, Helen participated in fundraising events and walk-a-thons taking part in many local charity events.
