He was predeceased by: his parents, George McKiernan and Sarah Shepherd McKiernan; his wife Shirley; and his sisters, Joan, Suzanne and Sarah.
He is survived by: his daughters, Polly Werner (Frank) of Munich, Germany and Stacy McKiernan (Timothy Vile) of Northfield, Vt.; and his grandchildren, Simon and Sarah Werner of Munich, Germany..
