Emily Rand Herman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emily Rand Herman (Cambridge, Maine), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 4, 2019 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William McNear and Lucy Robbins Rand; her husband Bill Herman; and her siblings, Bill Rand, Jack Rand and Lucy Everts.
She is survived by: her brother Peter Rand (Alice) of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; and her children, Louise Herman of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Lucy Kirshner (Kenneth Pauley) of Acton, Mass., Emily Herman (David Polito) of Georgetown, Maine and Geoffrey Herman (Susan Herman) of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgetown Working League, the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department, or the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine.
