He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Chambers and Doris Chambers (Porter); his wife Katherine Chambers (Thornton); and his sisters, Mavis McCullough and Edna Chambers.
He is survived by: his children, Roland Chambers Jr., Missy Roussell (Dale), Tony Chambers (Helene) and Jackie Chambers; and his siblings, Milton Chambers (Marion), Sandra Sprague, Rose Corbett and Brenda Woodcock (Peter). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
