With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merle R. Fitzsimmons (Calais, Maine), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fitzsimmons and Hattie Fitzsimmons (Tracy); his wife Jackie; his son Jeffrey; his siblings, John, Lloyd, Paul, Margaret and Elizabeth; and his daughter-in-law Rita.
He is survived by: his son Robert Fitzsimmons (Bob); his daughter-in-law Linda of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jackie Fitzimmons of New Brunswick and Evan Race of Florida; his great grandchildren, Michael McAleenan and Brady Craig; and his niece Brenda Lee (Fitzsimmons). He is also survived by brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
