He was predeceased by: his mother Pearl Merchant (McLaughlin); and his spouse Avis Clark. He is survived by: his father Solomon Merchant; his sisters, Annette Harmon (Bill) of Chamcook, Jane Calhoun of St. Stephen and Cindy McLaughlin (Carl) of Chamcook, NB; and his close friend Donna MacKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
