He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hicks and Mary Hicks; his wife Beverly B. Hallstrom; his sons, Joseph N. Hallstrom, Jr. and David G. Hallstrom; and his siblings, Charles S. Hallstrom (US Army), Eric S. Hallstrom (US Army) and Ida M. Call.
He is survived by: his significant other Katherine "Katie" Mae; his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Daniel Raposa of York; his grandchildren, Jennifer Paquette (Jess Beebe), Jaimee Hanscom (Bobby), Jim Paquette (Emily Hansen), Joseph N. Hallstrom III (Morgan Miles), Katrina Winchell (Scott), Kelly Woitko (Tony), Kristen Hallstrom, Jacob Hallstrom, Jesse Raposa (Neha) and Jenna Raposa; his great grandchildren, Savanna, Robbie, Sara Hanscom, Samuel, Julia Clough, Lovena Paquette, Baylee Hutter, Keyshaw Winters, Hayden Winchell and Joseph Hallstrom IV; and his brother-in-law David Woodman (Bonnie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
