He is survived by: his significant other Becky Perkins; his children, John Knowles Jr. (Kristina) of Hermon, Justina Gidney (Zaccheriah) of Lebanon, Adam Knowles (Hannah Lane) of Nashville, TN, Ashley Connolly (Douglas) of Hermon and Elaine Perkins (John Johnson) of Alexander; his grandchildren, Cayson, Aleigh, Ivy Knowles, Haileigh, Masen Gidney, Isla Knowles, Aiden, Owen Connolly and John Johnson Jr.; his brother Merle Knowles Jr. (Ruth) of Alexander; his nephew Andy Knowles; his niece Betty Jean Wallace (Joey); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lesliann Barnard (Mike) and Josie James (Nathan); and his nieces and nephews, Beckery Knowles, Merle Knowles III, Stephen Knowles and Mark Knowles.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mays Funeral Home (26 Church St, Calais, ME 04619). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
