He was predeceased by: his son John F. Cody Jr.; and his siblings, James Cody, Charles Cody, Joe Cody, Evelyn Damon and Jean Comeau.
He is survived by: his parents, James Francis and Lillian Mary Cody; his wife Frances Cody of Cary Plantation; his sons, William Cody (Gayle McNally) of Calais and Kevin Cody of Cary Plantation; his grandchildren, Taylor Cody (Brandon Hagan) of Carmel and Will Cody of Calais; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Hagan and Bryson Hagan; his sister Lillian Murphy of St. Stephen, NB; his siblings-in-law, William Howard of Calais, Isabelle Cody of Nova Scotia and Marjorie Rowe of Calais; and his nieces, Sandra Rowe of Baileyville and Trina Peterson of Walworth, WI.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
