It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ira Hallowell (Calais, Maine), born in South Thomaston, Maine, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Hallowell and Rachel Hallowell (Benner); his siblings, Richard, John Hallowell and Alice Dudley; and his son-in-law Francis "Brow" Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Crosby; his children, Betty Morrison of Cathance Twp, Dale Herbert Hallowell (Lorraine) of St. Stephen, NB and Donald Alton Hallowell (Rosie) of Edmunds Twp; his grandchildren, Wayne Morrison (Amy), Brenda Brown (Thomas), Duane Hallowell, Cherri Hallowell, Mark Hallowell, Dawn Ellen Hallowell (Jon) and Brandi Hallowell; his great grandchildren, Samantha Brown, Alexander, Benjamin Morrison, Phoebe Kibler, Michael Nicolosi and Colin Ira Hallowell; his sister-in-law Connie Allen; and his niece Jeannie Seavey.
