It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel D Wardwell of Bucksport, Maine, born in Castine, Maine, who passed away on February 16, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Wardwell and Phyllis Wardwell (Soper); his siblings, Eric Michael Wardwell and Donna Wilson; and his brother-in-law Wilbur Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Todd (Joanne) of Glenolden, PA, Jennifer (Sandra) of Yarmouth, ME, Tracey Renfro (David) of Richmond, MO and Staci Findley of Blue Springs, MO.; his grandchildren, Jared, Kellen Wardwell of Glenolden, PA, Tessie, Ishaya of Yarmouth, ME and Tanner Newman of Richmond, MO.; his brother Jeffery Wardwell (Laurie) of Bucksport; and his pets, Charlie and Tucker. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, lots of special friends.
Joel was always smiling and his contributions to the town of Bucksport made the town a better place.
