As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Coburn and Grace Coburn (Shaw); her husband LeRoi Newkirk; her son David Newkirk; and her brother John Coburn.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Young (Victor) of Bryant Pond and Stephen Newkirk (Kelly) of Bryant Pond. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakeside Cemetery.
