He was predeceased by: his parents, William McCabe and Mary McCabe (McFadden); and his brother James McCabe. He is survived by: his wife Catherine McCabe of Brunswick; his children, James Thornton (Christine) of Scarborough, David Thornton (Lynette) of Buckfield and Heidi Balboni (Steve) of Bowdoinham; and his nephews, William and Michael. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
