He is survived by: his son David Rydell; his daughter-in-law Karen of Panama City, FL; his grandchildren, Katherine Rydell of Brunswick and Carl Rydell of Lynchburg; his sister-in-law Katy Rydell of Portland; and his significant other Jackie Robie of Meredith.
