He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ward and Mildred Bowie Ward; his daughter Phyllis Ward Yanok; and his sisters, Marilyn Sandelin and Marcia Staples.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Guenther; and his sons, Frederick Ward Jr. (Sharon) of Brunswick and Walter Ward (Nancy) of Harpswell. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
