He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo H. Melanson and Bernadette Melanson (Desmarais). He is survived by: his sons, David Jr. of Mattapoisett and Christopher of Mattapoisett; and his siblings, Debbie Melanson of New Bedford, Kenneth (Cathy) of Fairhaven, Brenda Mullins (Johnny) of Homossassa Florida, Cythia Chadwick (Gerald) of Fairhaven and Brad of Lanesboro, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
