He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hamilton and Francis Hamilton (Salisbury); his son Robert III; and his siblings, Jean, Jeanette, Pat and Phil.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Nitzel; his children, Susan, Holly (Randal), Gregg and Melissa (James); and his sisters, Bonnie and Jackie. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
