She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Saunders and Olive Saunders (Nevell); her former husband Lawrence E. Torrey, Sr.; her husband Herbert N. Simmons; her daughter Rena M. Ames; her sons-in-law, Gene Ames and Peter Thompson; her siblings, Granville Saunders, Kay Owen, Mary Owen and Fred Saunders; and her children, Julia A. Comeau (Herbert) of Addison, Deland, Elizabeth Thompson (Betty), Lawrence E. Torrey, Jr. (Glenda) and Timmy L Torrey (Joan). She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
