He was predeceased by: his father Michael Steven McCarthy Sr.; and his stepfather Almer Chambers, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Grace McCarthy Chambers of Brewer; his sons, Kendrick of Bangor, Derek of Bangor and Keegan of Bangor; the mother of his children Dora McCarthy of Brewer; and his siblings, Jim Doherty, Jr. of Waterford, CT, John Doherty (Lisa) of Bangor, Debbie Rhome (Cliff) of Limestone, Ruth Doherty of Hermon and Cindy Wade (Ron) of Victoria, TX. He is also survived by many extended family members - aunts, nieces and nephews.
