Gertrude touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Berube and Irene Berube (Charest); her husband Marcel; and her siblings, Rita Trembley and Wilfred Berube.
She is survived by: her children, Marie-Anne Waddell (Stephen) of Bangor, Monique Brooks of Bangor, Marlene Grover (Charles Jr.) of Eddington and Mark Gosselin (Heather) of Orrington; her grandsons, Garret, Dustin Brooks, Charles, Caleb Gover (Jordan), Jaime Gosselin and Kyle Kenney; her great grandchildren, Sadie and Remi Grover; and her brother Ray Berube of Lewiston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith (55 S Main St, Brewer, ME 04412). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (531 N Main St, Brewer, ME 04412).
