He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob E. Bemis and Phyllis M. Bemis (Gudroe); his wife Lillian Bemis (Robinson); his children, Jake Bemis and Heidi Selanikio (Len); his grandchildren, Taylor Soderberg (Justin), Emily Cole (Patrick), Kristina Bemis, Emma and Jacob Selanikio; his great grandchildren, Nova and Riley Soderberg; and his siblings, William Bemis, Darlene Lowery and Rebecca Gilbert. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith (55 S Main St, Brewer, ME 04412). A reception was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Family Reception Rooms (55 S Main St, Brewer, ME 04412).
