He was predeceased by: his wife Melody A. Merritt; and his parents, Donald Merritt and Joyce Merritt (Carroll). He is survived by: his children, Corey Merritt (Lillian Frager) of Glenburn, Justin Merritt of Glenburn, Jessica Merritt of Glenburn, Joshua Merritt (Amber Merritt) of Brewer, Jeremy Merritt of Arizona and Joseph Cole of Connecticut; his granddaughters, Payton of Glenburn, Jade of Brewer and Aurora of Brewer; and his siblings, Brad (Yun) of California, James (Shelly) of Linneus and Audrey of Lewiston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
