He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mildred Gilmartin and James Gilmartin of Fairfield, Maine.; his wife Faye McNall; his children, Jay (Elizabeth) and Kate (Rick); his grandchildren, Emily, Joseph and Maeve; and his stepdaughter Christine Frost (Joseph Garcia).
Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Augusta, in a private graveside service, to accommodate the restricted attendance requirement due to COVID-19.
