He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Hoctor and Mary Ann Hoctor (Roy); and his brothers, Raymond, Richard and Paul Hoctor.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Carol Poirier (Maurice), Joyce Cole, Linda Archambault and Shirley Boucher (Rodney); his stepdaughter Debra Pelkey; his grandchildren, Rita Nicely, Michael Poirier, Joey Sturman, Bethany Boucher, Christopher Boucher and Nicholas Rocray; his stepgrandson Matthew Pelkey; and his great grandchildren, Athena Grace Nicely and Sebastian Sturman.
