He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcel P. Parenteau and Rose A. Parenteau (Chenard); and his brother-in-law Peter J. Turner. He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Grette); his sons, Christopher R. (Christine) of South Portland and Michael (Dawn) of Gorham; his sister JoAnn M. Parenteau of Biddeford; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sam, Erin and Jackie; and his sister-in-law Ellen L. Turner. He is also survived by his eight nephews and two nieces.
