Muriel G. Martel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Muriel G. Martel of Biddeford, Maine, who passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ephrem Boucher and Albertine Boucher (Lemire); her husband Paul; her daughter Claire Martel Blank; and her siblings, Ralph, Isabelle, Edwilda, Edmund, Normand and Pauline.
She is survived by: her children, Donald, Paula Martel (Clyde Tarr) and Denise Martel Roy (Guy) of Biddeford; her brother Donald Paul; her granddaughters, Amanda Blank Kent (David) of Bothell, Mary Elizabeth Martel Zagzoug (Derek) of Nashua, NH, Emily Martel McCausland (Allen) of Etna, Laura Mitchell of Nashua, NH, Jennifer Roy Santiago (Miguel) of Biddeford and Jodie Morrill of Center Ossipee, NH.; her great grandchildren, Noah, Eleanor, Devon, Ascher, Zimri, Daegan Lexie, Keelie, Lily, Anna, Maya, Paige, Piper, Levi, Ezra, Natalie, Isaiah, William, Alyssa, Abbie, Jonathan and Hannah; her great great grandchildren, Anthony, Adrien, Maximus and Malakai; her friend Gene Blank (Joyce); her brothers, Kenneth Leo and Stephen Leem; her aunt Matante Marguerite Houde; her niece Françoise Rocray; her goddaughter Helen McCann; her close friends, Pris Palmer and Rachel Thibodeau; and also, Adam Blank, Jenn Matthews of Austin, Gabriel Martel Tarr, Tess Fisher of Orlando, Daniel Martel Tarr and Nick Cullen of Belfast. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the high rate of transmission of Covid, the wearing of masks is encouraged. The Martel family is profoundly saddened that, due to Covid, we are not able to grant our mother's request to have a celebratory gathering of friends and family after her funeral.
