Joseph David Coreau Obituary

Our beloved son, brother, and friend, Joseph "Joe" David Coreau, passed away on February 24, 2022, at the young age of 40.

Joe's caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came in contact with. He had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them as well.

Joe was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time casting a line with his father and enjoying the serene beauty of Annabessacook Lake; in the fall months, he would take to the woods and hunt for deer and turkeys.

Joe enjoyed video gaming, wrestling, cooking, and camping in his spare time; he was a massive Raiders fan.

Joe's relationship with his parents was like no other; they lived, laughed, and loved each other very much through the good times and the bad.

Joe was selfless and put others first. He was outgoing and funny.

Confident in his ability to make others laugh, he decided to work as a standup comic in the Portsmouth and Boston area; Joe's parents supported this venture and were present in the audience during one of his shows.

He was very bright and worked as a Pharmacy Technician and also as a Medical Assistant in the medical field.

The bright light in Joe's life came when he was reunited with his daughter Jordyn.

It had been many years since he had communicated with Jordyn, always holding a special place in his heart for his little girl.

He never wavered in the hope that she would once again become a part of his life; amazingly, both reconnected two years ago, building a bond that only a father and daughter understood.

Joe was so much more than his struggles; he had an open heart and a kind spirit. If there were anything he could do to help a friend or stranger, he would lend support.

It is important to remember the joys that people bring into our lives; Joe was our "cutie pie", his passing will certainly leave a void in all our hearts.

He is predeceased by both sets of grandparents Walter and Ruth Coreau; Roy and Anna Sevigny.

He is lovingly survived by parents Mark and Marge Coreau; sister Sarah Coreau; daughter Jordyn Tibbetts; two family dogs Ruthie "Hoot" and Lola; and uncles; aunts, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking you to consider making a charitable donation in Joseph's name to the New England Donor Services, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451, 1-800-446-6362 All services will be private.

“I worked with Joe at MMC pharmacy over a decade ago and considered him a good friend. I used to visit him at Slainte where he did some bartending and I'd watch him do standup. He was hilarious. He put out a flier for (maybe) his 30th birthday with a headline "Joe Timmins is not dead, yet?" or something to that affect... He knew his struggles, and used them to make art & make people laugh (which is kind of genius). We lost touch but I always missed him, his humor and his friendship. RIP”
